  Components of the Environmental Sample Processor.  The syringe measures reagents and injects them into sample holders called “pucks.”  The rotary valve controls fluid connections from syringes and reagent bags.  The valve manifold controls the flow of reagents.  Liquid reagents are stored in the reagent bags.  The puck carousel allows for the collection and analysis of multiple samples.  Photo courtesy of http://www.mbari.org/
